In Paradise Unified School District (PUSD), we are proud to provide a high-quality education to elementary, middle and high school students in Paradise and Magalia. Our mission is to graduate knowledgeable, productive, responsible citizens who are motivated to continue learning and are ready to succeed in a complex, changing world.
Though our district has provided an excellent education to local students for over 80 years, our schools now need repairs and updates to maintain academic excellence. Leaky roofs, deteriorating plumbing and old septic systems must be repaired and inadequate electrical, ventilation and security systems need to be replaced. Our schools need improvements for handicapped accessibility and student safety.
Local classrooms and labs require updates to continue quality education and attract the best teachers to Paradise Unified schools. Technology must be continually upgraded and aging temporary portable classrooms need to be replaced with permanent classrooms to give local students the resources they need to succeed.
Through regular public board meetings and a district-wide survey to gather community input, PUSD worked with our community to develop a plan to make the critical repairs and upgrades our schools need. In order to maintain a safe and up-to-date educational environment, the Paradise Unified School District Board of Trustees voted to place Measure Y, a $61 million school improvement and student safety bond measure, on the November 6, 2018 ballot, which was passed by voters.
The renderings and construction photos seen below are just some of the exciting improvements PUSD has planned for its facilities and we will be updating this page regularly with new pictures/renderings as projects continue.
