Nestled amidst a forest of cedars and pines, Cedarwood Elementary School is one of the most beautiful campuses in California. But our school has more to offer than beauty -- our enthusiastic teaching staff and our inviting, home-like atmosphere create an optimum learning environment for our students.
Our school vision drives our programs and our classroom instruction. We believe that every child at Cedarwood will have the opportunity to achieve his/her potential as a learner. We believe every child is capable of learning, no matter what the circumstances, and we believe that it's our responsibility to take children from where they are to where they need to be.
We hold high expectations for ourselves and our students. We give our at-risk students support in the classroom and in the Learning Lab through a "blended service" model. Our goal is to foster student achievement and find ways to help students succeed.
We have a strong reading and math intervention program based on a collaborative partnership between classroom teachers, our Title 1, and special education staff. We focus on early intervention and strive to "catch kids before they fall." Our staff's commitment to student achievement is evidenced by our strong academic scores.
