Nutrition Services Meal Payment Policy
2026–2027 School Year
In accordance with Board Policy 3550 and 3551 – Food Service/Child Nutrition Program, Paradise Unified School District is committed to providing students with access to nutritious meals while operating a fiscally responsible, nonprofit school nutrition program.
Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
Paradise Unified School District participates in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). As a result, all enrolled students receive one reimbursable breakfast and one reimbursable lunch each school day at no charge, regardless of household income.
No student will be denied their first reimbursable breakfast or lunch.
Non-Program Food Purchases
In addition to the reimbursable meals provided through CEP, the District offers:- Second breakfasts
- Second lunches
- À la carte food and beverage items
- Adult meals
Meal Charges
Paradise Unified School District does not permit charging for second meals, à la carte items, adult meals, or any other non-program food purchases.Payment must be available in the purchaser's meal account or made at the time of purchase.Students who do not have sufficient funds available may still receive their first reimbursable breakfast and lunch at no charge through the Community Eligibility Provision but will not be able to purchase second meals or à la carte items until funds have been added to their account.Student Meal Accounts
