During the 2016-17 school year, Paradise Unified School District began offering an alternative personalized elementary and middle school education program that provides students opportunities to meet their educational needs by completing work either at home or through a combination of home and classroom learning. The program allows students to study at their own pace, within the framework of the written assignments, and to tailor the instruction and activities to match their own style of learning.
All Independent/Home Study students are actually enrolled at a school within the Paradise Unified School District and are entitled to any and all services that other students receive.
If you and your middle school student are interested in this style of learning, please contact Kathryn Stevens at 873-3800 or 872-6465. Please review our Independent/Home Study brochure for additional TK-8th grade program information.
Paradise High School continues to offer Independent Study for 9th-12th grade students and they receive the same benefits as listed in our TK-8th Independent/Home Study brochure. To sign your high school student up for this type of program, please contact your student's school guidance counselor.
